Basements worldwide suffer from groundwater leaks, everything from some damp in a corner to full flooding. Water can leak in through the floor, walls and the joints between them, making your basement moist and a perfect environment for mold, rot, and odor. There are solutions to a wet basement, but some are much better than others. To help solve these common problems, Utah Basement Systems uses Basement System's patented basement waterproofing products.

Real Time Situations Our clients knew there was something wrong, but weren't quite sure what was causing it. Their home was less than a year old, yet they had severe cracks in the floor which water was bubbling up through daily, and seepage at the base of all the internal walls. The plumbers and foundation repair companies which they had hired to inspect the problem had given them unsubstantiated reasoning for the leakage and even worse incomplete solutions. It wasn't until our visit that they had a complete understanding of what was causing their water problem and what options they had for repair. They felt security knowing that we could offer a Lifetime Warranty with the installation of our products, and were surprised that we were Less Expensive than those other companies who's specialties were not waterproofing. For them the answer was easy, a full perimeter Waterguard System with a Triple Safe Sump Pump. |
Some basement waterproofing contractors may recommend exterior
excavation to repair your water problem, where drainage is run around
the outside of the foundation underneath the soil. However, this very
expensive solution is costly, its installation involves excavating
everything around the foundation- including gardens, shrubberies,
steps, and any other landscaping in the area. Another common solution
"negative-side sealant", also known as "waterproof paint" can stop
leaks on the short-term, but after about six months, this paint will
often begin to peel off, making an unsightly mess and a basement that
still leaks.
A subfloor or baseboard drainage system, however, provides a much better
and more permanent solution. There are problems with these systems as
well, such as keeping the drain clear of mud or debris so the system
doesn't clog. However, new, innovative systems, such as Basement
System's WaterGuard, are designed to be highly resistant to clogs, and
with regular maintenance, the system should never fail.

WaterGuard Drainage Channel
Utah Basement Systems uses Basement Systems' patented WaterGuard system, an innovation on the typical French Drain (also known as Drain Tile or Weeping Tile) which is specially designed to avoid these problems and continually keep your basement dry. WaterGuard is a drainage channel engineered specifically to solve basement water problems effectively without worry of clogging from soil beneath the basement floor. It has large holes in the back to accept water and a flange with special segments to drain water from a basement wall leak.
